Which of your directory links actually pass anything
A link only does something if it is followed and the page carrying it is in the index. We read the rel attribute on the real page and check the page ourselves, so this is first-hand rather than bought from a link index.
Any product we have seen listed. The scope is the directories we track, not the whole web.

"Links that count" means followed and on a page we have found in the index. Counted across the 18 directories we have read. This is not a whole-web backlink profile and does not try to be: links from anywhere we do not track cannot appear here.

What this does not cover
Links from blogs, newsletters, roundups and anywhere else we do not crawl are invisible here. We do not buy a third-party link index to fill that gap, because we would be reselling someone else's crawl and inheriting gaps we cannot explain. The open-web half comes from your own Search Console data once that is connected, and from widening what we crawl. Neither is built yet.
