Getting listed is half of it

Directory links only pay off if the page they point at can be indexed, shared and quoted. These are the launch-window checks that decide that, not a general SEO audit: we are not trying to replace the specialist tools, only to catch the things that quietly waste a launch.

This one does fetch your site, politely and once, with our identifying user agent. It reads the home page, robots.txt, your sitemap and llms.txt.

What gets checked

  • ReachableThe page answers, and answers the way a crawler sees it.
  • IndexableNo noindex, and robots.txt does not block the site.
  • CanonicalSet, well formed, and pointing at your own domain.
  • SitemapPresent and discoverable from robots.txt.
  • Title and descriptionPresent, and long enough to survive a rewrite.
  • Share cardOpen Graph tags a directory can render.
  • Structured dataMachine-readable description of what the product is.
  • ProseEnough text on the page for an answer engine to quote.
  • llms.txtOptional map for answer engines. Noted if absent, never failed.
