Which launch directories actually work?
We track 206 launch directories and have read 78 of them so far. On the ones we have read we measure what happens to each listing: whether the page is still there, whether the link is followed, and whether Google ever indexed it. 25,003 listings on record, every number dated, and the 128 we have not reached yet show nothing rather than a guess.
Latest from the crawl
Directories change quietly and nobody tells the people who listed on them. This is what moved recently.

Three questions, asked continuously
Every directory in the index is measured against the same three checks, on a schedule, with the result timestamped.
Is the directory still alive
Listing pages are fetched on a schedule. Dead directories and ones that block our crawler are marked as such, and the block is published rather than worked around.
Is the link followed
We read the rel attribute on real listing pages. Claimed link policy is ignored, observed markup wins, and a directory that quietly flips to nofollow shows up in the changelog.
Did Google index it
The share of a directory's listing pages that are actually in the index, sampled and rechecked. A listing nobody can find sent nobody anywhere. This number is published nowhere else.
Check our working
Every figure here is measured against real listing pages and stamped with the date and sample size behind it. Directories can pay us to review their submission faster or to show a fuller profile. They cannot pay for a number, a position in the table, or a place in the index, which is the whole reason a report about your listings is worth buying.
Listed on
Directories that list lineofsites. We submitted like anyone else, and each badge links to their page about us.
