Tower rules
What a purchase buys
A purchase buys any whole number of floors from one to 10,000, at 1 € each, net; VAT is added at checkout for EU buyers. Every floor you ever buy for the same site belongs to one section that carries your name, your logo and a link to your site. Buying again makes the section taller; it never starts a second one.
How rank is decided
Rank is the bid. Sections stack by total paid, the highest total on top, and the owner of the top section is the king on the battlements. Our own floors bid nothing and sit at the bottom. Equal totals keep the order they were reached in: the site that got there first keeps the higher rank, so matching a bid does not displace it. A raise counts as a new bid.
To outbid a rank you need one euro more than the section holding it, and you only pay the difference from what you have already paid. The board shows that figure next to every rank; pressing it fills the amount in. Nothing is promised about where you land: the rank is whatever your total buys at the moment the payment arrives, and if someone raises in between you land wherever that total now stands. You are never charged more than you chose.
Height
Three floors are ten metres. The sky changes with altitude: clouds, the jet stream, the stratosphere, and space from 21 km, which is floor 6,300. Nobody is hidden by a cutoff; every floor ever bought is there, and scrolling down walks through all of them.
Reigns
A reign is time at rank one. It starts when a purchase puts your section on top and ends when another purchase takes it off, and buying more while you are already king does not start a new one. The board sums reign time per site, so a site that has retaken the throne shows the total, and the current king's reign counts up live.
Names, links and logos
- A name of up to 24 characters. No account is needed.
- A link to a product website. Chat and invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and the like) and links to adult content are not accepted. Credentials, IP addresses and tracking parameters are dropped from the address.
- The logo is the icon your site declares for itself, fetched by our crawler under its own user agent with robots.txt respected, only from your site's own hosts. A site with no usable icon gets a tile in a fixed colour derived from its domain.
- Links on floors and on the board are paid placements and carry rel="sponsored". They are never dofollow; that is a site-wide rule, not a tower one.
After you pay
A completed payment is what places the floors, usually within seconds. The payment is recorded against the floors, and the amount paid is public on the tower. Floors are permanent: we do not shrink or remove them on request. A later purchase can move your section down the tower, never out of it.
We may remove a floor that breaks the rules above, or a link that turns into something the rules do not allow. A floor removed for that reason is not refunded. A floor removed for our own reasons, where you did nothing wrong, is refunded in full.
Refunds
A floor is digital content delivered the moment it appears, and you have received all of it then. The one refund is a payment that succeeded without a floor ever appearing, and that we cannot make appear. Email the address on your receipt first; a missing floor is almost always a delayed confirmation and is placed within minutes. Being outbid, landing at a lower rank than the board showed when you paid, a shorter reign than you hoped, a link you typed wrong or a change of mind are not grounds for one.
If you are buying as a consumer in the EU, your right of withdrawal applies until the floor is delivered, and nothing here removes a right you have by law.
Our own floors
The tower starts with floors for our own products. They paid nothing, are marked "ours" in place of a price, and are never counted as revenue, the same disclosure the catalog makes for our own directory.
